My family owns a car dealership. I remember   playing in my parents’ showroom when I was a child, pretending to be a salesperson welcoming customers and introducing them to the new cars. During my high school years, I developed a real desire to learn and understand business management in order to help my parents with their work in the future. As a result, I chose to study Management Technology at AAA University. Now, after completing my undergraduate studies, I feel the need to seek obtain knowledge in business and management and, hopefully, become an expert in this career field. For this reason, I would like to pursue my Master’s Degree at one of the best places available:……., University of ………

The reasons why I believe I am the right person for this course are because, first of all, I have first-hand experience in business management both at my family’s company and at a leading car company in Thailand. Whenever I have free time from my studies and other tasks, I assist my parents with their work at the showroom. My major duties there are to help welcome customers, look after our staff, discuss marketing plans with my parents and help them calculate the income and expenses of the company each month. In addition, during the summer vacation of my third year at the university, I had an opportunity to work as an intern at XXX Co., Ltd., which is one of the biggest car companies in Thailand. There, I joined the HR and administrative team assisting them in several tasks, including customer service, human resource management, data entry, document preparation and much more. This work experience allowed me to become aware of the working culture of a big company, gain better knowledge of administration and human resource management and also how to work and cooperate with many different kinds of people. Therefore, business and management is something that I am already familiar with and, in my opinion, my experience in this field will significantly contribute to my achievement in this programme.

Secondly, I am already been equipped with a wide range of knowledge of business and management. At the university, my major in Management Technology allowed me to specialize in business, finance, marketing, economics and management technology. Additionally, because all subjects at AAA University are taught in English, it will not be a major adjustment for me to study abroad, in an English speaking country. For this reason, I believe that I am a suitable candidate for your program, which will develop my skills and expertise in business in a multi-cultural environment. The thought that I might be able to learn business with people from around the world excites me greatly because I would love to understand their different ideas, attitudes, cultures and ways of thinking, which will be essential if I want to help push my family’s business to the international level. Also, studying in the UK is the best way to strengthen my English skills which I need to use in order to communicate with foreign suppliers and customers.

Finally, I am a highly motivated and competitive person who has a strong determination for achievement in everything that I do. Right now, my biggest ambition is to fulfill my dream of developing my family’s business, which will eventually become my business. In order to reach this ultimate goal, it is necessary for me to obtain the best possible knowledge of business and management available. After looking closely at the business programme at your university, I am very impressed with the learning methods and the excellent knowledge and experience that your course offers. With the intent to pursue my studies at your institution in mind, I am definitely prepared to work hard and dedicate all my efforts and time to excel in your class. Even though I am aware that the studies will definitely be intensive and demanding, I am prepared to undertake this challenge and ready to prove that I deserve to be there.

Being a half Thai-Romanian, I was granted the chance to live in two contrasting political regimes: Thailand’s strong democratic ruling and Romania’s weakening communism. Due to my family’s work, I have been alternating my ‘home’ for two decades. The difference could not be more striking. In one, I can express criticism on authorities as much as I deem appropriate. The other, even in whispers, we were all too afraid to open our mouth. My experience is particularly unique, because I was born during the bloodiest revolution of Romania, which was followed by public execution of then dictator and his family. As I grew up, I came to understand the extent political regimes can affect people – having lived in it, I gain insights that cannot be found anywhere else. Now that Romania is on the road of recovery, fortunately, the road to democracy, I would like to actively aid them in this progress. It is my hope and dreams, that someday, all Romanians will have the privilege that Thais have, to be able to speak in the open without fears of repercussions; to be governed with a more transparent authority body; and to be actively involved in the country’s development. This is why I would like to apply for MSC XYZ at ABC University.                                                          

My academic background of BSc Political Science opened my eyes and let me see the world through a different point of view. This is a valuable asset for someone who wished to become active in political reformation in her country. First and foremost prior to any development, an investigation upon the original infrastructure must be done thoroughly. With my personal experience as a starting point, my passion towards the political road for Romania’s greater good was strengthened with my undergraduate studies. Having realized the impacts in-depth understanding have towards your effectiveness in tackling a solution, I am now eager to explore further into the field of political science. Since my BSc graduation, I have been working actively with the small groups of political NGOs recently rise up. I believe this proves my unwavering interests and determination to thrive in this line of work. This dedication pays off. I became acquainted with a number of scholars who provided great contribution to our efforts to ensure the newly achieve democracy in Romania is long lasting. It was then that I recognized that what I have at hands is not sufficient. I need to know more about the subject. Unexpectedly, the issues are highly intertwined with the country’s economy and the growing business sector. The details were complicate and challenging to tackle for someone who has been studying with extreme focus on political science. This is why I am interested in MSc XYZ, its inter-disciplinarian approach attracts me.

My choice for the course and the University was drawn as a result of my researches. The University is consistently ranked within the top 3 UK in its Social Science department. I am particularly impressed with the large number of seminars and panel discussion that the University has planned for the upcoming year. The course itself rings to me as it gives you a solid training in legal frameworks and their design, before it builds on and challenge candidates to use ve the said regulatory tools to promote our cause. Such offer for practical experience is invaluable, and is unique to only this University. The course itself encourages holistic solutions, and as such, proves to be extremely attractive to me. I hope to write my thesis especially on the political recovery of Romania; from my researches, Professor Johnson Wizpok, one of the best experts in Romanian politics, is an active lecturer at the University. I would love to work with him.

In conclusion, I am confident in the unique and honest insights that I can bring into the class discussion. I am strongly driven to succeed in this course, and to make Romania a better place to live in, by strengthening its democracy to the best of my ability. I believe both my academic and work experiences are highly valuable for the course. ABC University has always been my first choice due to its excellent professors, many whose works I have read and referred to as a guideline when I work in the practical setting. I am certain that studying here will facilitate me towards my life goal: to make my home, a better home for all of us, and many more to come. Thank you for your time.
